On Friday, March 22, Utahns will have a new opportunity to prove their record-breaking generosity by contributing to the Bountiful Community Food Pantry and other non-profit organizations during an unprecedented day of giving called “Love UT Give UT”.
“Love UT Give UT” is a one-day virtual event that encourages all residents of Utah to contribute to Utah non-profit organization through a single online giving platform. “Love UT Give UT” is modeled after many similar events across the country, including Park City’s “Live PC Give PC”, which raised nearly $600,000 last November. Utah’s statewide campaign is coordinated by the Community Foundation of Utah.
The Bountiful Community Food Pantry will use “Love Utah Give Utah” donations to fund a new program that will fight child hunger called Pantry Packs. Starting in March 2013, three Title I schools in southern Davis County will be receiving bags of food that will go home with at-risk children to supplement their food supply over the weekend. Each bag of child-friendly food costs about $3.00. Your donation to Pantry Packs will make it possible for these children to keep from going hungry.
On March 22, communities across Utah will come together for 24 hours of unprecedented giving during “Love UT Give UT”. It’s our states biggest-ever day of giving, and it’s your choice to make a real impact.
