September 11th has become the national day of service and remembrance. At the Bountiful Food Pantry, we honor this day by asking our community to take action, and you delivered.
On Saturday, September 13th, local schools, churches, businesses, and families came together for our 9/11 Food Drive, collecting over 65,500 pounds of food (and counting!). Because of your generosity, our shelves will now filled with canned goods, pasta, cereal, and other essentials that will help feed families throughout the fall.
One volunteer shared:
“I love helping at food drives because it serves a greater purpose than we will ever know. On a day like 9/11, which is usually filled with sorrow, it feels meaningful to take action that brings hope. These bags of food will help feed so many families, and I love seeing that our community will come together to care for one another.”
We are deeply grateful to every donor, volunteer, and partner who made this possible.
