Grocery Rescue Volunteers Needed!

Help us fight food waste and feed our community!

Bountiful Food Pantry is looking for Grocery Rescue Volunteers to join our team. Grocery Rescue is a nationwide program that connects grocery stores with food pantries to reduce food waste and get nutritious, perishable foods into the hands of those who need it most.

Every morning, our volunteers visit 15 grocery stores in Davis County, collect donations like dairy, produce, deli items, and baked goods, and bring them back to the pantry for same-day distribution.

This is a hands-on, rewarding volunteer opportunity where you’ll make a direct impact, every single shift.

Volunteer Shifts Available:

  • Monday–Friday: 7:15 AM – 10:15 AM
  • Monday, Wednesday, or Friday: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Volunteer Duties:

  • Ride along in a box truck to local grocery stores
  • Collect donated food items
  • Box, weigh, and load donations into the truck
  • Return to the pantry for drop-off (other volunteers will handle unloading and sorting)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 10–20lbs individually or 20–40lbs as part of a team
